Amit Maheshwari – DealerTrack

Amit’s DMSC Keynote Session

amit-maheshwari“From Digital Marketing To Digital Retailing: Preparing to Address the New Millennial Buyer”

Over the next five years, automotive retailing workflows will change significantly for both consumers and dealers. Research shows that next generation car buyers interact and shop digitally. So what does this mean for dealer retailing strategies?  Clearly, the automotive industry has made significant progress in the area of digital marketing, where dealers make it easier for their inventory to be found via the Internet. Yet, there has been little or no innovation around the decade old methods of generating and handling online consumer leads.

In this session, Amit will discuss how “digital retailing” aims to deliver an experience that allows the consumer to go deeper into the buying process online before coming to the showroom. The goal of digital retailing is to drive quality leads and higher sales conversions rates while addressing the shopping patterns of the millennial buyer. As the 1st step towards implementing digital retailing, Amit will present an “online first pencil” framework that can be combined with interactive tools such as “online chat” to convert a shopper into a buyer while they are still on the dealer website.
